This is the place where you can personalize your profile!
But, how?
By moving, adding and personalizing widgets.
You can drag and drop to rearrange.
You can edit widgets to customize them.
The left side has widgets you can add!
Some widgets you can only access when you get a premium membership.
Some widgets have options that are only available when you get a premium membership.
We've split the page into zones!
Certain widgets can only be added to certain zones.
"Why," you ask? Because we want profile pages to have freedom of customization, but also to have some consistency. This way, when anyone visits a deviant, they know they can always find the art in the top left, and personal info in the top right.
Don't forget, restraints can bring out the creativity in you!
Now go forth and astound us all with your devious profiles!
Took a look at oyur gallery. You have a neat way of looking at design, and some good pieces. Stop cherry picking your work and get more up in your allery!
Thanks for the watch. I'll try to be worthy of it.

Glad to say that "keeping up with the joneses" no longer means it's time to go see my dealer... ________________________________________________
Napkins? Heh, heh... Napkins? We don' need no stinkin' napkins!
Thank you, I appreciate that Heh, that's actually the majority of my pieces-I gave a good portion of my older works away. I may upload my sketchbooks at some time along with my 15 min dailies.
Ya, I read your post/rant and agreed with what I read for the most part. At least some of us appreciate having an experienced artist that is willing to tell it how it is. I will be studying your critiques!
The longer I'm here, the more I learn about how this site actually works, who comes here, and why. One thing I can tell you is that the vast, vast majority of those who come here, irregardless of the level and sophistication of their talent, do so to find a haven from serious critique and commentary on their work.
Almost every time I post a truly serious critique (with the true and thoughtful intention of helping the artist grow) it is taken porrly by the recipient.
People do not come to this site looking for honest, serious critique, 13, and I don't know how many more times I care to get bashed for providing one.
Almost all of my friends here (some of the best artists on the site) are my friends because they aren't here seeking fluffy, feel good remarks on their work. While many of them are veteran pros and don't need critique of ANY kind to keep their art sharp and to keep growing as artisits, when they do get serious commentary, they appreciate it as the tool it is.
Be careful what you ask for 13... you just may get it!

I have a lot of practicing to do My technique is rather unrefined. I have potential though. I can say that I like my layouts, I think I have a good eye for it- I am still very new at it though. I won't ask for any crits to toot my own horn or be praised, but will ask for words of wisdom.
I like your layouts too. I see a definite ability to develop ideas in a unique way.
But, there is a rawness to your work which marks it as the efforts of someone still developing their skills. I agree completely that your work can only benfit (and will do so greatly) from practice.
In the future, if you post a piece that you feel is exceptionally good, or marks a break through for you as an artist, let me know, and I'll provide serious comments for it.
